Hello World!

A blog about information and cyber security.

I have a bachelor’s and master’s in cybersecurity, and spent several years in consulting doing audits, pentests, and
DFIR. These days I’m on the blue side, working as a cybersecurity engineer — though my interests lean toward detection engineering, SOC Operations, IAM, purple-teaming, and running a SOC homelab to keep the offensive skills sharp.

I got into security because breaking and understanding how things work is genuinely fun — and sharing that with others seemed like the right thing to do. The topics here range from offensive techniques to defensive practices, with the goal of being useful rather than exhaustive.

When I’m not in front of a screen, I’m usually outside. Multi-day hikes, triathlons, mountain biking, via ferrata — I like things that are hard enough to require your full attention. The physical and mental challenge is the point.

This blog is a way to document what I learn and put it somewhere other people can find it. Hopefully it helps you too!
